Leader of Opposition in Sindh Assembly steps down

Leader of Opposition in Sindh Assembly Firdous Shamim Naqvi stepped down over a rift within Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) surfaced. 

A group of PTI nominated Adil Sheikh for the slot. Some party leaders complained about Naqvi’s attitude.

Sources said the party leadership sought resignation from him over failure to deliver as Leader of Opposition in Sindh Assembly. Moreover, his controversial remarks are too cited as one of the reasons for resigning.

Naqvi sent his resignation to Prime Minister Imran Khan. Sources said Naqvi had a meeting at his office after tendering the resignation.
