The Central Selection Board (CSB) has recommended the promotions of over 200 federal bureaucrats to grade-20 and grade-21, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The formal notification in this regard will be issued when Prime Minister Imran Khan will approve the CSB’s recommendations.
Quoting sources, the TV channel reported that the CSB, during its four-day huddle, recommended the elevation of police service’s Amin Yousufzai, Ghulam Muhammad Dogar, Farhatullah Junejo, Sajjad Afzal, Lt (r) Jan Muhammad and Arif Hanif to grade-21, while it also recommended the promotions of 14 police officials, including former AIG Islamabad Kamran Adil, former SSP Operations Islamabad Sajid Kiani and Muhammad Kashif, to grade-20.

Similarly, the Board has recommended the promotions of Pakistan Administrative Service’s Waqas Ali Mehmood, Saqib Zafar, Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry, Haroon Rafiq, Asim Iqbal, Shakil Qadir, Zubair Asghar, Usman Gull, Hassan Iqbal, Saima Saeed, Shehryar Sultan, Sajid Baloch, Asif Taman and Ali Murtaza to grade-21 while it has recommended the promotions of Yahya Akhunzada, Zaid Bin Maqsood, Dr Nasir Mehmood Bashir, Muhammad Jahanzeb and Aziz Ahmed Jamali to grade-20.
The CSB has also recommended the elevations of Pakistan Administrative Service’s Usman Moazzam, Ihtesham Anwar, Amir Sultan, Bilal Ahmed, Khurram Shahzad Umar, Sajid Zafar Dal and Babar Aman Babar to grade-20.
Similarly, the promotions of Shahidullah, Nadeem Ahmad Abro, Iqbal Hussain, Muhammad Zubair, Adnan Arshad Aulakh, Muhammad Khan Ranjha and Captain (r) Mushtaq Ahmed, ex-deputy commissioner Islamabad, to grade-20 has also been recommended.
Following nod by the prime minister, the notifications of promotions of officers belonging to police, Pakistan Administrative Service and secretariat will be issued by the Establishment Division while the notifications of promotions of officials of other departments will be issued by their respective administrative secretaries.
