Attaullah Esakhelvi rubbishes death rumours

Folk icon Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi, also known fondly as ‘Lala’, has rubbished rumours of his death. The rumours were doing rounds on social media. He released a video message on Facebook clarifying he is alive and well.

Expressing gratitude to his fans and the people who prayed for him, Esakhelvi said that he is perfectly fine in a video uploaded on his Facebook account. He requested people to pray for him.

However, he said that the rumours of his death circulating widely are not to be believed.

Earlier, In April 2019, the perpetrator of the rumour on Facebook, a resident of Taunsa Sharif, was apprehended by the authorities but charges were dropped as the singer himself excused the culprit.

Receipt of the ‘Pride of Performance Award’, Attaullah also holds a lifetime achievement award from Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain and title of highest number of audio albums released in the Guinness Book of World Records.
