Two little girls drowned in a canal in the Sanghar town of Sindh province, 24NewsHD reported on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as four-year-old Zeba and three-year-old Shehzadi. The tragedy took place in a village in the jurisdiction of Chatari police station.
Rescue sources said the children were playing near the old canal of Sanghar when suddenly they fell into it. The bodies were handed over to the relatives of the deceased.
On Monday, two brothers drowned in the Mirwah Canal of the Khairpur town in Sindh. Eleven-year-old Hamza and nine-year-old Abdul Islam went for swimming when the tragedy took place, local lawmen said.
Last week, a boy died after he fell into a sludge pit at Tando Adam area and the relatives blamed the incident on the OGDCL Sanghar admin last week.
The relatives of the boy took to the street against the local admin officials alleging that they did not adopt measure to protect the people from falling off.
A couple of months ago, Karachi-based three friends drowned in a canal of Tando Allah Yar where they visited to celebrate holidays.
