US dollar continues to gain against Pakistan rupee of fifth consecutive day

The upward surge in the price of US dollar against Pakistan rupee continued Thursday as the US dollar gained 41 paisas against Pakistan rupee in the inter-bank trade, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In the inter-bank market, one US dollar was available for Rs159.33, a gain of 41 paisas from the previous day. It has the highest value of the US dollar since February 22, 2021 in the interbank market.
It was the fifth consecutive business day in which the US dollar has seen a rise in its value against the Pakistan rupee in the inter-bank market. The US dollar has gained overall Rs1.79 during the last five business days as the value of the Pakistan rupee declined by one percent against the US dollar.
In the open market, the upward trend of the US dollar also continued as it saw a 70 paisas increase in its value.
In the open market, one US dollar was available for Rs160.20. During the last five business days, the value of US dollar has been increased by Rs2.10 in the open market trading.
In the open market, Euro saw an increase of 50paisas as one Euro was available for Rs187.50. British pound reached at Rs220.50 with an increase of Re1 in its value. The UAE dirham and Saudi rial both saw an increase of 25paisas.
One UAE dirham was available for Rs43.40 and one Saudi rial for Rs42.40.
