Punjab police foiled a major bid to smuggle drugs through a drone in the Kahna Nau area of Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to police, an action was taken on a tip-off to foil the bid to smuggle heroin worth millions through a drone in Rasulpura village of Kahna Nau.
Police seized the drone and 6kg of heroin tied to it.
Where did the drug-laden drone operate from? Where was it going? Investigation into these questions was underway.
Retired police dogs handed over to citizens
The retired police dogs were handed over to citizens instead of being killed, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Usman Anwar awarded medals and certificates of appreciation to the retired dogs of Punjab police in recognition of their services.
