The crackdown on the PTI leaders and workers is still underway with full force as Tehkal police in district Khyber of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Friday arrested 15 PTI workers, who were involved in incidents of violence on May 9, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
According to reports, the workers had come to Barra to attend a rally taken out in connection with the ‘Yaume Taqdeese Quran’.
But even they were not spared and were taken into custody on their return to Khyber.
Soon after the arrest of former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan in Islamabad on May 9, thousands of people went berserk in several cities of the country and took law into their own hands.
They vandalized government and military installations besides damaging and setting several monuments of martyrs on fire.
The incidents gave the government an opportunity to come down hard on the PTI and eliminate it.
