Pakistan cricket team’s white-ball head coach Gary Kirsten and assistant coach Azhar Mehmood have reached Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV change on Monday.
Both coaches will hold a meeting with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Syed Mohsin Naqvi.
Team Pakistan’s dismal performance at the recently concluded T-20 World Cup in the USA and West Indies and other related matters will come under discussion at the meeting.
Three days ago, Gary and selector Wahab Riaz had submitted their tour reports to PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi following Pakistan's disappointing T20 World Cup campaign. Pakistan made an early exit from the tournament after just three games.
Particularly, the team’s defeats at the hands of India and the inexperienced USA were most humiliating as they resulted in a severe backlash back home.
The selection committee of seven was one of its central targets.
The fans raised questions over the selection of the squad.
Not selecting specialist leg spinner Abrar Ahmad and always opting for Shadab Khan, despite his poor form, came under a scanner.
