Two more minor girls die of cholera in Ubauro, Ghotki

Two minor girls died of cholera on Sunday while more than 7 children have died of acute intestinal infection during one month in the Ubauro area in Ghotki district in Sindh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


The victim families claimed that five more children were affected with the disease.


The victim girls were identified as 9-year-old girl Begi and 2-and-a-half-year-old girl Noor Fatima who died of measles in Gharibabad neighborhood.


The families have urged Sindh government to get their children’s treatment at the government level as they were unable to afford the treatment.


The residents claimed that health department was not taking any special measures to prevent the outbreak of measles.


However sources told media that children who died of measles were not brought to the government hospital and children were admitted to a private hospital.


MS Obauro Hospital Dr. Mumtaz Chana claimed that special measures were being taken to prevent measles in the area.
