Bado Badi-fame Wajdan Rao, the model featured in the song's music video, accused Chahat Fateh Ali Khan of underpaying her for the music video.
Wajdan Rao claimed that despite Chahat Fateh Ali Khan earned 7 million rupees from the hit song 'Bado Badi' but she was only paid Rs4,000.
Additionally, she accused Khan of harassment, alleging that an offensive old picture of her was deliberately included in the music video to dissuade her from seeking rightful compensation.
Rao appealed to fans for support, warning Chahat Ali Khan of potential consequences if anything adverse happened to her or her family.
Chahat, a Lahore native originally named Kashif Rana, gained widespread recognition on Pakistani social media after his rendition of the classic song "Bado Badi" by Noor Jehan went viral.
Within a month, the song garnered 26 million views, but unfortunately, Chahat Fateh Ali Khan's viral track 'Bado Badi' has been taken down from YouTube after accumulating over 28 million views.
Allegedly, this removal was prompted by copyright issues, as the original song belongs to the legendary Noor Jahan.
Amid the lockdown, Khan has been engaging his audience by sharing films on his social media platforms and conducting live sessions on Facebook.
His popularity has soared to the extent that he is now being invited to perform at wedding receptions.
Some of Khan's other popular songs include "Tun Tuna Tun," "Mast Mast Sharabi," "Qameez Teri Kali" and "Pehli Wari Aj Ohno."
