Ben Dunk breaks his own record of PSL sixes

Ben Dunk, the middle-order batsman in the Lahore Qalandars squad, finally provided the supporters of his team a chance to celebrate what they have been craving for a long, long time.
Dunk hit 12 sixes to score 99 not out off 40 balls.
Playing against Karachi Kings at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday evening, Dunk went on fire and skipper Sohail Akhtar continued to provide him the required fuel through his presence on the crease.
As Dunk lost his cool in the 13th over of the game, no bowler from Karachi Kings could dare to stand in his way until he hit the winning six of the game. He was declared Man of the Match.
Lahore Qalandars have been at the bottom on the points table until Sunday when Dunk turned the tables on Karachi Kings even after they piled up a good total of 187 runs for the former to chase in the 23rd encounter of the ongoing season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
A few days earlier, Dunk, a left-handed batsman, blasted 10 sixes and three fours to score 93 off 43 deliveries and helped Lahore Qalandars defeat Quetta Gladiators by 37 runs at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. This was Lahore Qalandars’ first win in the fifth edition of the HBL PSL 2020.
As blistering Ben smashed 12 sixes on Sunday evening, the apparently solid total amassed by Karachi Kings became the easiest score to achieve for the team reeling under the burden of successive defeats in this season of the PSL.
Earlier in the day, Lahore Qalandars skipper Sohail Akhtar won the toss and chose to field first against Karachi Kings. When Lahore Qalandars returned to the field to chase the 187-run target, they lost two wickets in the first few overs. At this point, Ben Dunk and Sohail Akhtar took up the challenge and brought their team back into the game.
