Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz said on Sunday that Prime Minister Imran Khan took vote of confidence from the lawmakers of his party and the allied parties at gunpoint on Saturday.
Speaking to the media after a party meeting in Islamabad on Sunday, Maryam said those preaching ethics and civilisation should keep these things to themselves. She said that those who attacked the PML-N leaders outside the Parliament House on Saturday would have to pay a huge price for their acts. She said the PML-N would not accept disgraceful behaviour towards opposition leaders.
The PML-N leader also said that lawmakers of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were in touch with the PML-N. She said that an attempt was made to make the use of national institutions. She said that surveillance of the PTI lawmakers was done through drone before the vote of confidence. She said that PTI lawmakers’ vote were snatched.
On this occasion, Maryam announced Miftah Ismail as PML-N candidate in the NA-249 Karachi for the upcoming by-election. The seat has been vacated by PTI lawmaker Faisal Vawda, as he has been elected a member of the Senate. She said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s time is now over. She said the PML-N is a horse for the long race. She said her party leaders would not cross the limits while criticising the opponents. She said the mob attack on the PML- leaders exposed goons and the Sicilian mafia.
