The Pakistan Muslim League (PML) leadership on Sunday told Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari that their party would support the ruling alliance in the election for the Senate chairman’s office.
Bilawal had arrived at the residence of PML President Chaudhry Shujat Hussain and PML Punjab President Chaudhry Parvez Elahi in Lahore on Sunday to seek their vote for Yusuf Raza Gilani, who is the candidate of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) for the Senate chairman’s office. PPP leaders Qamar Zaman Kaira and Hassan Murtaza accompanied Bilawal to Chaudhrys’ residence in Lahore.
PML leaders Tariq Bashir Cheema, Moonis Elahi, Salak Hussain and Hussain Elahi were also present on the occasion. During his visit, Bilawal also inquired after Chaudhry Shujat Hussain, who has been suffering from a protracted illness.
