British High Commission's Development Director Jo Moir on Tuesday met FBR Chairman Asim Ahmad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.  

He was accompanied by the economic practice team to discuss continued cooperation with FBR through the Revenue Mobilisation, Investment, and Trade (REMIT) Programme. 

Various areas of cooperation were discussed in the meeting including sales tax harmonization, track and trace, POS, land borders for trade facilitation, support on international taxation, taxpayers’ facilitation, and data integration for tax compliance. 

 Jo Moir pointed out the importance of revenue mobilization for effective public service delivery. 

Chairman FBR Asim Ahmad appreciated the support that REMIT has provided and committed to continuing cooperation in the future.
