The Lahore High Court on Wednesday removed the registrar office’s objections to former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s petition seeking exemption from personal appearance during court hearings due to security concerns and ordered to fix the plea for hearing, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In his plea submitted to the LHC on Tuesday, The PTI chairman requested the court to allow him to attend the court proceedings through video link. But the registrar office raised objections to his petition.
LHC Justice Shahid Kareem heard the PTI chief’s petition along with the objections and ordered the registrar office to remove objections and fix the plea for hearing.
PTI Secretary General Asad Umar was also present in the court.
The registrar objected that the petitioner had neither attached attested copies nor had he made any respondents in the case.
