'Taxali Gate' celebrates International Women’s Day with free screenings

The Pakistani film “Taxali Gate” is celebrating International Women's Day with free screenings, paying tribute to women cinematically.

The makers of Taxali Gate are expressing their gratitude to the women of Pakistan by offering a small gesture of appreciation for their unwavering support.

In their Instagram post, the creators of the movie shared this exciting news with a heartfelt caption for all the women:

On March 8th, special screenings will be held at various Cinepax locations in major cities in Pakistan. In Karachi, women can catch a complimentary show at Cinepax, Ocean Mall, at 7:30 pm. In Islamabad, the free screening will be at Cinepax Jinnah Park, Rawalpindi, at 6:30 pm. Meanwhile, Lahore residents can enjoy a free show at Cinepax Packages Mall at 7:45 pm.

"Taxali Gate" delves into the deep-seated issues prevalent in our society, addressing topics like sexual assault, the intricacies of the legal system, persistent power dynamics, and entrenched class hierarchies.

By choosing a film that tackles these important issues, the organizers aim to initiate valuable discussions and bring attention to the obstacle’s women encounter.

It is pertinent to mention here that Taxali Gate is written & directed by Abu Aleeha, Executive Producer Shabbir Shah, Producer Waqas Rizvi, and Ayesha Omar.

The cast includes Ayesha Omar, Yasir Hussain, Umer Aalam, Mehar Bano, Iffat Omar, Nayyar Ejaz, Babar Ali, and Alyy Khan. Iftikhar Thakur, Shehryar Cheema, Khalid Anum, Shehzad Khan, and others.
