The International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission is expected to visit pakistan soon after formation of the federal cabinet, 24News HD TV channel reported on Friday.
According to the channel report, the IMF mission will hold meetings with Pakistani authorities to address various economic issues and implementing necessary reforms.
The channel reported that Pakistan has prepared its several economic strategies, plans and proposels that will be presented to the IMF during the meetings.
The IMF mission will be informed about the time frame for incorporating tax evaders into the tax net and schedules for repaying both domestic and external debts.
A proposed plans to reduce circular debt in the energy sector, a mechanism for timely adjustment of electricity, gas, and petroleum prices will be presented in the meeting.
Plans for maintaining robust foreign exchange reserves to meet import requirements will be outlined while the basic points of the budget for the fiscal year 2024-25 including a plan for achieving at least a 2 percent GDP growth will also be discussed.
Formulas for fund acquisition based on agriculture, non-tax revenue, and utility services will be shared with the IMF mission.
