Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) Thursday moved Lahore High Court (LHC) against Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for denying reserved seats in Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
SIC chairman Sahibzada Hamid Raza filed the petition while ECP, PPP and PML-N were made party.
The SIC pleaded to the court that ECP have made severe violation of rules and regulations after denial of reserved seats to SIC.
The SIC requested to the court that it submitted 4 applications to ECP demanding allocation of reserved seats to it.
It also pleaded the court that Election Act 104 and Articles 51 were against the rules and regulation of ECP. They demanded of the court that ECP decision should be declared null and void.
