Red letters were issued to 16 ministries on the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan, giving them 21 days to implement the decisions taken by the federal cabinet.
According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the Prime Minister’s Office said the letters were sent for the second time, adding that the cabinet had taken eight decisions out of which five were not implemented.
Imran Khan has given 21 days to submit a report which would be presented before the cabinet by the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit.
Any failure to execute decisions would be made part of the ministries’ annual report, as the prime minister has also sought a report on their performance.
The PM Office said the ministries were supposed to share the details of vacant posts with the Federal Public Service Commission. They were also ordered to formulate rules and regulations for those vacancies, it added.
Other directives issued to the ministries included resolving the issues related to public servants’ seniority and promotion of officials.
