Center releases Rs11.70b to Punjab for four hospitals

The federal government has released Rs11.70 billion to the Punjab government for the construction of four mother and child care hospitals in the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.  

According to details, the Punjab government intends to build these hospitals in Sialkot, Rajanpur, Attock and Layyah.

The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the cabinet, on April 14, 2021, had approved Rs.11.7 billion as the share of the federal government for the establishment of four mother and child hospitals in Punjab.

Federal Minister for Finance, Revenue, Industries, and Production, Muhammad Hammad Azhar chaired the ECC meeting in Islamabad today.

The ECC committee approved a monthly production plan as a cost-effective solution, enabling the power and gas purchasers to make requisite purchases in line with actual requirements instead of following a fixed arrangement.
