EPA springs into action after British envoy shows solid waste at Margala Hills

A day after British High Commissioner to Pakistan Christian Turner tweeted his pictures with bags filled with solid waste he collected from the Margala Hills, the Environment Protection Agency (EPA) sprang into action and issued notices to Monal Restaurant and Gloria Jean's Coffees and directed the two food outlets to submit written replies within seven days. 

The EPA has said that the aforementioned food outlets remained open even during restrictions triggered by the coronavirus pandemic. People visiting Margala Hills used to buy food from these outlets and then have Iftar dinners at the hills. Such people would throw the trash in the hills after have their dinner.
