Pakistan Saturday strongly condemned attacks on innocent worshippers in Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli Occupation Forces, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) Spokesperson said that Pakistan prays for the speedy recovery of the injured, reiterate our steadfast support to the Palestinian cause and urge the international community to take prompt action to protect the Palestinian people.
US reaction
The United States is extremely concerned about ongoing confrontations in Jerusalem, including on the Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount and in Sheikh Jarrah, which have reportedly resulted in scores of injured people, says the US State Department in a statement released.
There is no excuse for violence, but such bloodshed is especially disturbing now, coming as it does on the last days of Ramadan. This includes Friday’s attack on Israeli soldiers and reciprocal ‘price tag’ attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank, which we condemn in no uncertain terms.
At least 205 Palestinians and six officers were injured in the night-time clashes at Islam's third-holiest site and around East Jerusalem, Palestinian medics and Israeli police said, as thousands of Palestinians faced off with several hundred Israeli police in riot gear.
