Acting on a tip-off regarding presence of the activists of a defunct organization in Tehsil Baka Khel, the security forces on Sunday launched a raid and arrested members of the banned group, besides seizing weapons and explosives in a large quantity from the area, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The sources informed that the security forces were tipped about the presence of the saboteur elements in the general area of Baka Khel Wazir where they came masquerading as the Internally Displaced Persons. 

The security forces launched a combined search operation with the help of Bannu CTD police to track down members of the outlawed organization. 

After tracking these elements, the security agencies swooped on their place and arrested several members of the defunct outfit. They also recovered explosive material, electric devices, detonators, hand grenades, mobile phones, pistols, and guns from their possession. 

However, the agencies refused to divulge the names of arrested members, sources concluded.
