Foreign Minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has directed Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah to remove all reservations of the business community of the province.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the business community of Sindh on Sunday called on Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at Bilawal House in Karachi and expressed their concerns.
On this occasion, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah Shah, Waqar Mehdi, Saeed Ghani, Zubair Motiwala, Muhammad Ali, Fawad Anwar, Javed Balwani, Idrees Memon, Zubair Chhaya, Masood Naqi, Zaki Bashir, Zaid Bashir and other business leaders were present.
Bilawal directed the Sindh government to set up a Business Liaison Committee to look into the problems faced by traders and industrialists.
The business community briefed Bilawal that they are facing a gas shortage and discrimination in the tariff as Sindh is not being given its share of gas. They also demanded the abolition of GSP Plus status in 2013.
In response, Bilawal said that the business community should come forward and contribute to the public-private partnership projects of the provincial government in Karachi.
