Farah Gogi, a close friend of PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi, has sent legal notice to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Interpol over the Agency’s request to the international police to issue red warrants against her, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The legal notice sent by Farah Gogi’s legal team on Monday states that registering case against her was out of FIA’s jurisdiction. The case was politically motivated, the team said, adding correspondence with Interpol for red warrants against Farah Gogi is a violation of the Article 3 of the Constitution.
Gogi’s legal team further said making the request public tantamount to defamation.
It may be mentioned here that the FIA had approached the Interpol with a request to issue red warrants for Farhat Shehzadi alias Farah Gogi in a money-laundering case.
The agency filed an application with Interpol, seeking issuance of red warrants.
In the application, the FIA pointed out that it has ‘irrefutable evidence’ of money laundering against the accused.
