In a remarkable achievement that has set a new standard for infrastructure development, Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi officially inaugurated the Bedian Road Underpass in Lahore on Tuesday, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

The opening ceremony was attended by several distinguished guests, including Corps Commander Lahore Lieutenant General Syed Amir Raza.

The inauguration event also saw the presence of key figures, including Provincial Minister Azfar Ali Nasir, Ibrahim Murad, Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Information Secretary Daniyal Gilani, DC Rafia Haider, DGPHA Muhammad Tahir Watto, Chief Engineer LDA Asrar Saeed, MD WASA Ghafran Ahmed, and CTO Mustansar Feroze. The presence of Senior Journalist Sohail Waraich added further significance to the event.

One of the most remarkable aspects of this project is its timeline. While the initial completion period for the underpass was estimated at six months, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi's repeated visits and close monitoring led to the astonishing achievement of finishing the Bedian Road Underpass in just 70 days—a historical milestone in Pakistan's infrastructure development.

TheUnderpass, with a length of 940 meters and a total project cost of Rs 2.10 billion, is set to significantly improve traffic flow and accommodate around 120,000 vehicles per day.

This accomplishment is expected to provide permanent relief to the residents of Bedian, Cantt, Defense, and neighboring areas, effectively reducing traffic congestion in the region.
