The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to digitise record of plots for the convenience of citizens, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

An online portal will be created to digitise the record of plots which will contain the details about residential and commercial plots, constructions, etc.

The CDA authorities said that SUPARCO’s help would be sought to digitise the record of plots.

“In the first phase, the record of D-12 will be digitised as a pilot project and after its success, records of all sectors will be digitised in phases,” they added.

Records of estate management, planning, building control and revenue directorates will be digitised as well.

A Performa is being prepared for entry of complete details of plots, the CDA officials said.

A data bank will be created to digitise the records with the help of Performa and citizens will have full access to the online portal.

It will be known how many residential and commercial plots are there in the sector and who the real owner of the plot is.

Details of water charges or property tax and other dues can also be searched.

Full plot details can be accessed on one click and citizens will be relieved from visiting CDA offices for information about plots and files, said officials.
