Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Commercial Banking Circle Peshawar has arrested 2 suspects involved in illegal currency exchange during an operation on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The raid was conducted on the instructions of Deputy Director Commercial Banking Circle Peshawar Rizwan Shah.

According to FIA spokesperson, the arrested accused Atifullah and Khalid were doing money exchange business without license and were arrested from Sadar Bazar area of Peshawar.

During the raid, the FIA team recovered $40,000 from the possession of the accused.

However, the accused could not satisfy the authorities regarding the recovered currency.

FIA started investigations after registering a case against the accused.
