Some startling disclosures have been made by the Afghan rioters, who had been arrested by the law-enforcement agencies during the PTI’s protest demonstration on October 5, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
One of the Afghan miscreants, Khayal Gul, has said that the PTI leadership promised to give him Rs2,000 for participating in the protest. “While the protest did not last long and the party leaders soon disappeared after reaching the D-Chowk, we the Afghans were arrested,” he said, adding, “I am ashamed at becoming part of the demonstration. What I got out of it. Nothing.”
Another Afghan Maula Dad has said that he along with his two friends had come to Islamabad for the same purpose. “The party leaders promised to give us money, which they have not given to us as yet. And today, we are languishing in jails only because of them.”
He has urged other Afghans not to be duped by political parties and participate in their subversive activities.
Yet another Afghan, Abdur Rehman, has said that he is a labourer and came from Peshawar for the protest. “But the PTI leaders asked me to march on Islamabad,” he said, and appealed to other Afghans not to participate in any such activity in the future.
