Four more polio cases detected in Pakistan

Pakistan has been witnessing a noticeable increase in expansion of poliovirus cases as four new infections were reported from different cities, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.


These cases of poliovirus were reported from Jacobabad, District Malir of Karachi, and Dera Ismail Khan.


Poliovirus was detected in a 32-month-old girl and 18-month-old boy from Tehsil Thal of Jacobabad.


A 72-month-old child living in District Malir Tehsil Bin Qasim became latest victim of poliovirus.


Poliovirus was also detected in a 22-month old child of Dera Ismail Khan.


It is necessary to mention here that during the current year, 32 cases of polio virus were reported from different cities of Pakistan.
