Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Monday called on the Chinese ambassador in Islamabad Jiang Zaidong in the aftermath of the Karachi blast that claimed three lives including two Chinese nationals, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The meeting was a gesture of solidarity and sympathy towards the victims and the Chinese government, as Naqvi conveyed his deepest condolences on behalf of the Pakistani government.

During the meeting, Naqvi expressed his sorrow over the unfortunate incident, assuring the ambassador that Pakistan stands united with China in this difficult time.

"The entire Pakistani nation shares the grief of our Chinese brothers," said Naqvi, reaffirming the deep bonds between the two countries.

He condemned the attack, calling it an assault not only on Chinese citizens but also on Pakistan itself, aimed at disrupting the strong Pakistan-China friendship.

"This attack on Chinese citizens is a vile conspiracy to harm our brotherly relations, but we will not allow the cowardly enemy to succeed," Naqvi said.

The minister further emphasized that Pakistan is committed to ensuring comprehensive investigations into the attack and holding those responsible accountable.

Naqvi informed the Chinese ambassador about the progress in the ongoing investigation and pledged that those involved in this heinous act would face strict punishment.

The Interior Minister emphasized that the protection of Chinese nationals working in Pakistan is a top priority for the government.

He underlined the vital contributions of Chinese workers to Pakistan's development and vowed to take all necessary measures to ensure their safety.

"The safety of our Chinese brothers working for Pakistan’s progress is of utmost importance," he remarked.

Condemning the attack in the strongest terms, Naqvi stressed that the enemy targeted citizens from one of Pakistan's most reliable allies, and such actions would not go unanswered. He declared that those responsible for this despicable act would face a severe response.

"This attack on Chinese citizens is not just an attack on them but on Pakistan itself. The enemy will receive a tough answer for this," Naqvi asserted.

Pakistan-China relations, he stated, remain unshaken by such incidents, and efforts to destabilize this longstanding friendship would not succeed.

He reiterated that the Pakistani government will ensure justice for the victims and maintain the security of Chinese nationals in the country.
