Details of uplift funds to districts released, Faisalabad on top

Details of development funds given to various districts in Punjab are out now.
According to a latest report based on official statistics, Faisalabad District is getting the highest amount of funds for development, while Chiniot is getting the lowest amount of funds. Six districts from southern Punjab are among the top 10 districts, which are getting the highest amounts of development funds in Punjab. The report says that Faisalabad has received Rs24.24 billion for development so far, Lahore Rs23.93 billion, Rawalpindi Rs18.23 billion, Sargodha Rs16 billion, Sialkot Rs15.13 billion, Rahim Yar Khan Rs15.52, Multan Rs14.92, Bahawalnagar Rs14.48 billion, Muzaffargarh Rs13 billion, Bahawalpur Rs12.76 billion and Chiniot Rs4.74 billion.
According to the report, education and health departments have been given Rs275.94 billion through the provincial finance commission. Various sub-departments in the Health Department were given Rs69.15 billion. Municipal committees and district councillor have been given Rs51.21 billion.
