Five people drowned and four others were rescued when a carry van fell into a rain drain in Gujrat on Wednesday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The van was carrying nine people including women and children when it skidded off the road and fell into the rain near Jaggu Head in Gujrat.
Rescue sources said five people drowned while four others were saved. Those who drowned were aged between 20 and 60 years, the Rescue sources added.

Rescue officials were of the view that the accident took place after the van’s tyres skidded off the road during rain.
