Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-President Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday while assailing the PTI-led government claimed that a positive and real change was around the corner, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to newsmen after appearing before the Islamabad High Court (IHC), Maryam said the PTI rulers have miserably failed to deliver. “Pakistan will soon witness positive change and the fake incumbent government will be sent packing, she added.
Maryam Nawaz further avoided questions related to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). On journalists’ insistence, she replied “don’t you people have other questions”.

Maryam Nawaz said that people would soon get rid of what she called ‘fake’ change brought about Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government in power.
She said if PML-N supremo and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif would nominate party President Shehbaz Sharif for the post of prime minister, she and other party members would support that decision wholeheartedly.
She alleged that the cases filed against her, her father Nawaz Sharif and other PML-N leaders were aimed at political victimization. “Before this court goes ahead with the hearing of my case, I want to ask the esteemed judges as to why and on whose orders I was implicated in the case,” she said, and added, “There should be no further progress in the case until and unless these questions are answered.”
Regarding the situation in Afghanistan, Maryam was of the view that Pakistan should not interfere in the neighbouring country’s affairs. “We should refrain from imposing our decisions on the people of that country,” she asserted.
She refused to make any comment when she was asked about her views on ‘estranged’ PML-N leader and former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
During the presser, the PML-N vice president kept ducking the questions put regarding Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) role in country’s politics. So much so that when a journalist asked her a question about the PPP, she could not help saying to him, “Don’t you have another question?”
On the other hand, Islamabad High Court (IHC) has granted time to Maryam Nawaz and Captain (retd) Safdar till September 23 to appoint a new lawyer in the Avenfield reference.
During the hearing, Justice Amir Farooq remarked that hiring a lawyer is the right of everyone.
