Construction of High-rise commercial center at Ferozepur Road on cards
The Punjab government is mulling a plan to construct high-rise commercial centers at Camp Jail and Rescue 1122 Academy sites, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi while chairing a meeting held here on Sunday reviewed the proposal regarding the conversion of Camp Jail and Rescue 1122 Academy sites under the Central Business District (CBD) project.
Mohsin Naqvi has called for a comprehensive plan on the proposal to build modern high-rise commercial centers.
The Punjab government is expected to generate revenue of billions of rupees from erecting the centers on Ferozepur Road under the CBD project.
Camp Jail and Rescue 1122 Academy can be moved to alternative locations.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed immediate planning for the CBD cooperative project.
The meeting held that the construction of a high-rise building in the middle of Lahore city will promote commercial activities.
Chief Secretary, Chairman Planning and Development Board, Secretary Housing, Commissioner Lahore Division, IG Prisons, Chief Executive Officer Central Business District, DG Rescue 1122, MD WASA, Chief Traffic Officer, and concerned officials attended the meeting.
