LHC assigns services of 8 session judges to Govt

Lahore High Court has deputed the services of eight session judges to various government departments, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

According to a notification issued on Wednesday, the judges are directed to assume their new roles by April 11. 

According to the notification, services of four judges have been assigned to the federal government while the other four will serve under the Punjab government. 

Session Judge M Sarfraz Akhtar has been posted as Judge of the Special Court (Customs, Anti-Smuggling, and Taxation) in Lahore, and Session Judge Javed Iqbal has been appointed as the Senior Special Judge of the Anti-Corruption Court in Lahore. 

Session Judge Khawar Rashid will serve in the Anti-Corruption Court in Rawalpindi, while Session Judge Izhar-ul-Haq posted in Anti-Corruption Court in Sargodha. 

Session Judge Aurangzeb has been appointed as Special Judge of the Anti-Corruption Court in Multan, and Session Judge Ejaz Ali has been assigned the Accountability Court in Rawalpindi. 

Moreover, Session Judge Muhammad Akmal Khan will serve as Judge of the Control of Narcotics Substances Court in Rawalpindi, and Session Judge Muhammad Yaqoob has been designated as Judge of the Special Court Central-II in Gujranwala. 

These transfers aim to enhance the performance of the judiciary in specialized courts dealing with corruption, accountability, and narcotics-related cases.
