Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir Thursday said the greatest sin on the earth is the spreading of bloodshed and violence therefore who don’t obey Sharia and the constitution of the country, are not entitled to be called Pakistani, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


Addressing the Ulema and Mashaikh Conference in Islamabad, the Army Chief urged the people to register their protests but remain peaceful as there was no coercion in the religion.


General Asim rhetorically said that “no one dares to insult the glory of the Holy Prophet (PBUH)”.


He said the Army was committed to bringing peace and prosperity to the country. He said: “For more than 40 years, Pakistan hosted millions of Afghans. And now we are urging them not to support Kharjis.”


“Our Pashtun brothers and the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa made a lot of sacrifices in the war against terrorism and we appreciate their efforts for peace”.


He said that criminals and smugglers are supporting terrorism and they were unleashing propaganda and creating chaos in the country through social media.


The Army Chief vowed that if anyone tried to create chaos in Pakistan, the army would face them head-on. General Asim told the participants of the moot that if you want to know the importance of the state, then study the affairs of Iraq, Syria and Libya.


The Army Chief questioned who used to say that they drowned the two-nation ideology in the Bay of Bengal, where are they today?


General Asim urged Ulemas and Mashaikhs to promote tolerance and unity instead of extremism or discrimination in society. He demanded that scholars should bring back moderation in society.


The Army chief made it clear that no power in the world can harm Pakistan because this country came into being to remain on earth forever.


General Asim Munir said millions of Asim Munir, millions of politicians and millions of scholars can be sacrificed for Pakistan because Pakistan is more important than any of them.


Talking about the Gaza situation, the Army Chief said the heart cries with tears of blood while seeing atrocities on the people of Gaza.


He said: “From Palestine, we should get a lesson that we have to protect ourselves and make Pakistan strong”.
