The number of complaints filed on the Pakistan Citizen Portal – an integrated citizens’ grievance redressal system connecting all government organizations at federal and provincial levels – against the government departments of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has amounted to more than 30,000 within four months, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to official statistics, 27,000 complaints from citizens have been addressed. However, out of complainants whose issues had been addressed only 44 percent expressed satisfaction with the system.
A total of 8,525 complaints were filed against Municipal Service, 3,846 complaints were filed against Education Department, and 2,984 complaints were filed against law and order situation.
The chief secretary has sent a dispatch to all administrative secretaries and directed them to address the complaints of citizens as the first priority. A copy of the dispatch has also been sent to deputy commissioners and divisional commissioners.
