Taking a swipe at former prime minister Imran Khan, PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif has said that the 190 million pounds scam is the biggest larceny in the history of the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The PML-N supreme leader expressed these views while addressing the party’s central parliamentary board’s meeting in Lahore on Friday.

He said that the people should be told who has looted the country. “If someone robs the country of Rs60 billion then the price of electricity will definitely go up.”

Nawaz rued that the former PTI chairman used to talk about the State of Medina but his talk was hollow. “We have been listening to his tales of State of Medina for long. But he is not even aware of the ethics and morality of an Islamic state.”

He said that a ‘player’ was launched recently who failed to deliver.”

He lamented that a game has been played with this country for the last 70 years.

He said that former premier Imran Khan waved a sealed envelope in the air and got the federal cabinet’s approval without revealing the contents of the letter.

“How it’s possible that he (Imran) commits 190 million pounds corruption and nobody holds him accountable. People of this country want accountability of their leaders and they also want to know much did they deliver.”

Nawaz said that he was implicated and sentenced in false cases. “I’m getting justice after seven years.”

Former three-time prime minister Nawaz Sharif said that he has come with the intention to serve the people. “We do not want power, we want to put this country on the path to development and welfare.”

He said that the PML-N leadership had to face numerous difficulties but we faced every trouble with fortitude and never let go of patience. “Never call time bad, ebbs and flows are part of life.

He said some wounds heal with the passage of time but some sores remain open forever.
