Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDCL) has discovered major oil and gas reserves during 2081 meter digging of West Darss well in Sindh province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to a spokesperson of OGDCL, 8.51 million standard cubic feet of gas per day can be obtained from the Darss well.
He revealed that as many as 360 barrels of crude oil per day were also discovered from the well.
The new discovery will significantly reduce the country's import bill, the spokesperson said.
He said that the above discovery was achieved as a result of an aggressive strategy by OGDCL experts.
