In a series of political maneuvers ahead of the upcoming elections, the leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have been in contact with various other parties, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Friday.
According to sources, the patron-in-chief of the Istehkam Pakistan Party, Jahangir Tareen, and Aun Chaudhry met with Shehbaz Sharif, the president of the PML-N, for 45 minutes.
The meeting focused on the issue of seat adjustment in 15 seats of the National Assembly, including Punjab and Lahore, and 25 seats in Punjab.
Sources said that the decision on seat adjustment by PML-N will be taken in consultation with the leaders and core committee of PML-N.
The meeting was part of the ongoing efforts by the PML-N to form a broad alliance against the ruling party and secure a majority in the parliament.
