The FIA Anti-Corruption Circle Islamabad has arrested a tehsildar for his involvement in a case of death on forged signature and thumb of a deceased plot owner, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Friday.
The accused, Ghulam Murtaza Chandio, along with other accomplices, used the fake biometric of the owner of a 10-marla plot in Mauza Pind Padian to sell it illegally.
The owner of the plot had passed away in 2013, but the accused managed to get the biometric verified by NADRA, which later turned out to be fake.
The accused was arrested from Islamabad and an investigation has been launched.
The FIA team, led by Deputy Director Anti-Corruption Circle, Afzal Khan Niazi, is conducting raids to arrest the other culprits involved in the scam.
