The WhatsApp messaging app adds a new “hidden camera” that can be activated only on cell phones with Android operating system.
This is a functionality for “create a shortcut to the camera function and thus go completely unnoticed by others”. To activate the secret camera of the app, you must follow the steps detailed below.
How to activate ‘hidden’ camera
The first thing to do is keep the main screen of the mobile device pressed to activate the “Widget”.
Next step, click on the Widgets menu.
Next, you should look for a camera icon with the WhatsApp logo and select it.
Lastly, Android will ask the user for permission to activate the secret camera and the user must accept them.
Once added to the home screen, the hidden camera widget can be used to take photos without the need to enter the app and chat manually.
