The Tirah Valley mountains on Thursday recorded one foot snowfall making the weather chilly while intermittent rain was continuing in Tehsil Bara and Jamrud of Khyber District, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The locals were facing hardships due to chilly weather and inadequate arrangements made by the administration to cope with the situation.
Separately in Azad Kashmir’s Neelum Valley, the cold wave has dropped the mercury to below zero. Frosty weather was causing different diseases like pneumonia, cough and flue among people.
DHQ Hospital Athmuqam was witnessing rush of patients. Roads closure was making life harder for people of the area.
In Galiyat, tourists were enjoying the cold weather. Snow-clad Nathiagali mountains were especially luring the tourists. Dark clouds were hovering over Galiyat.
In Karachi, temperature was soaring and there was a marked decrease in cold conditions. City’s temperature was recorded at 22 degree Celsius. The maximum temperature was expected to remain 32 degree Celsius. As regards air quality index, Karachi is the 13th most polluted city in the world at present.
