The Election Commission of Pakistan has announced the “winners” of two seats for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial assembly.
The commission said that independent candidate Samiullah Khan won 18,888 votes according to results from 37.62 per cent of the polling stations for PK-76.
As for PK-6, independent candidate Fazal Hakeem Khan took 25,330 votes.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has directed all the provincial election commissioners and returning officers to announce the results within half an hour or else strict action will be taken against them.
In a press release, the electoral watchdog said the statements being run by media channels regarding the ECP were not true.
Meanwhile, Pakistan People's Party’s candidate Syed Murad Ali Shah candidate has unofficial been declared winner from PS-77 Jamshoro, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Thursday.
According to unofficial results, the former Sindh chief minister secured 67513 votes.
The security of his rival GDA candidate Roshan Ali Barro has been confiscated as he had failed to achieve votes to a level set by Election Commission of Pakistan for a candidate of provincial assembly seat.
Meanwhile, PPP’s candidate Dr. Nafisa Shah from Khairpur’s NA 202 has been announced winner.
She secured 90225 while GDA candidate Syed Ghous Ali Shah could secure 19890.
Former provincial minister and PPP’s leader Sharjeel Inam Memon has won from Hyderabad’s PS 61 by getting 63638 votes, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Thursday.
According to unofficial results of all 135 polling stations, JUI-F Saeed Talpur lost with 11719 votes.
Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Chairman Mehmood Khan Achakzai won by getting 17600 votes.
Pakistan People's Party candidate Burhan Khan Chandio won with 39540 votes from Qambar’s PS-17 seat.
GDA candidate Javed Khokhar came second with 15460 votes.
Rehmat Saleh Baloch of National Party won from PB-30, Balochistan by getting 9823 votes.
Balochistan National Party Awami's candidate Shakeel Ahmed came second with 8129 votes.
PPP's candidate Imtiaz Ahmad Shaikh won from PS-7 by getting 60904 votes. JUI(F) candidate Agha Taimur Pathan came second with 43575 votes.
Imtiaz Ahmad Sheikh defeated JUI-F candidate with a lead of 17329.
PTI backed independent candidate Prince Nawaz Khan won with 22156 votes from NA-13 Battagram.
JUI candidate Qari Muhammad Yusuf got second place with 16752 votes.
Pakistan People's Party candidate Jam Khan Shoro won from Hyderabad PS-60 after getting 38186 votes.
GAD’s candidate Ayaz Latif Pleeju lost with 6917 votes.
