In NA-9 Malakand, as per the results received from three polling stations, PTI nominated independent candidate Junaid Akbar emerged with 411 votes while PPP's Ahmad Ali Shah Bacha is second with 75 votes. The candidate of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Jamaluddin was in the third position with 43 votes.
