Islamic scholars of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have given a worthy fatwa against the terrorists and declared all their terror activities in Pakistan religiously illegal.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, this fatwa has been given by scholars of different schools of thought including Dar ul Uloom Sarhad Peshawar, Jamia Darul Uloom Haqqaniyyah, Tanzeem ul Madaris, Wafaq ul Madaris Al-Arbia, Rabat ul Madaris, Wafaq ul Madaris Asalfiyah, Wafaq ul Madaris Al-Shia, Jamia Taleem ul Qur’an, and Ulama Council Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Islamic scholars of all the above-mentioned schools of thought rejected the terrorist activities and have given their clear stand regarding the recent Islamabad so-called cleric and head of the terrorist organization in the fatwa.
Pertinent to mention here that a fatwa is a legal ruling on a point of Islamic law (sharia) given by a qualified Faqih (Islamic jurist) in response to a question posed by a private.
Islamic scholars said in the fatwa that not everyone has the right to declare jihad as it can be declared by the head of the Islamic State only and avoiding the observance of the religious law is illegitimate.
The fatwa said taking up arms and declaring war against the police and military personnel, who are defending the Islamic state, is illegal and forbidden in Sharia and a violation of obedience to the state.
In the fatwa, Army Jawans and policemen have been declared martyrs if they are killed while protecting Pakistan.
The fatwa also said that taking up arms against the state is tantamount to rebellion and its perpetrators deserve to be punished.
The fatwa further said that any kind of mischief within the Islamic state or against the state in the name of religion, religious differences, linguistic, regional, and nationalism is not permissible according to Sharia. And, whoever does this will rebel against the constitution and law of Pakistan and whoever does this deserves punishment, the fatwa declared.
Religious scholars have also mentioned some references to the Holy Qur’an and the Hadith of the Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him) in the fatwa.
