Rain, snowfall predicted in different areas from Jan 11 to 13
Met office issues alert for tourists

The Meteorological Department on Monday predicted three days long spell of rain and snowfall in different areas of the country from January 11 to 13.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the met office forecasted that a series of westerly winds will enter the areas of North Balochistan on the night of January 10 (Tuesday).
From January 11, westerly winds will affect the upper regions of the country.
During the night of January 10 and January 11, rain and snowfall are expected in different cities of Balochistan including Quetta, Zhob, Barkhan, Ziarat, Nokundi, Dalbandin, Harnai, Qila Saifullah, Qila Abdullah, Chaman, Muslim Bagh, and Pishin.
The met office said there is the possibility of heavy rain and snowfall in a few places in Balochistan province.
From January 11 to 13, the met office said rain and snowfall are likely in Murree, Guliyat, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Kohistan, Mansehra, and Abbottabad.
The met office said light to moderate rain is expected in Islamabad, Potohar region, Charsadda, Bajaur, Kurram, Waziristan, Kohat, Bannu, Karak Karan, Sargodha, Mianwali, Khushab, Bhakkar, Layyah, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Kasur, Sahiwal, Okara, and Lahore from January 11 to 13.
Coastal areas of Makran, Dera Ismail Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Multan, Khanewal, and Pakpattan may experience light rain on January 11 and 12.
The met office warns the tourists that from 11th to 13th January, roads could be blocked due to heavy snowfall in Murree Guliyat, Naran, Kaghan, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Shangla, Astor, Hunza, Skardu, Neelum Valley, Bagh, Poonch, and Haveli while there is a risk of landslides in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan so they should be careful during travel in these areas.
