As many as three people were killed while 17 others were injured when driver of a speeding bus, heading from Islamabad to Karachi, lost control over the vehicle and the bus fell into a trench in Bahawalpur, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Rescue sources told 24News TV channel that the deceased, a woman and two men, could not be identified as yet.
They informed that most of the passengers belonged to Haripur, Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and Murree; two to Karachi and one to Multan.
The sources further said that the injured passengers were shifted to Bahawalpur’s Victoria Hospital where four of them were in a critical condition.
Among the injured, they disclosed, five were females.
Two labourers die in Badu road mishap
As many as two persons working as labourers at a private oil and gas company were killed while over 20 were injured when a bus carrying them fell into a ditch in a hilly area near Dadu.
The injured were shifted to Taluqa Hospital in Johi.
