A fire broke out in an oil factory in Alipur Chattha, Wazirabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to rescue sources, the fire broke out in the boiler of the factory. Five vehicles of the Rescue 1122 fire brigade extinguished the fire.
The cause of the fire could not be ascertained. There were 25,000 litres of crude oil in the oil chamber of the factory. No loss of life was reported.
PM takes notice of fire incident
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took notice of the eruption of fire in an oil refinery in Ali Pur Chatta and directed for immediate and swift measures for the safeguard of public and the staff deputed there.
The prime minister also ordered an inquiry into the incident, PM Office Media Wing said in a press release today.
